In 2027, we’re wrestling with demons. Join us in producing a new horror classic.

THE CONCEPT

A struggling high school wrestling team, including the team’s first woman member, gets stranded in the wilderness during a crosscountry trip in 1995. They’re not alone. To survive, they must battle the elements and a murderous band of cultish mountain people. And they must learn to work as a team despite their differences.

Written by Alan Eschbach, directed by up-and-coming auteur Aaron Strand (Withdrawal) and co-produced by veteran producer David Axe (American Dollhouse) and popular horror influencer Lindsay Ivan, KILLBILLY is a twist on the classic killer hillbilly horror flick. A period piece with a charismatic cast and an unforgettable lush and gritty style.

And with a budget of just $550,000, KILLBILLY is also a financial slam dunk. We shoot in Oklahoma for the generous state incentives and deliver a picture that’s an easy sell and quickly profitable, but which also has legs on streaming—and becomes a horror classic.

LANDSCAPES, VILLAINS & KILLS

Turned off by unconvincing digital effects and virtual soundstages, today’s horror audiences demand grit and viscera. They want real locations and practical effects—and we’ll deliver both in spades.

Audiences also want memorable villains and shocking kills. KILLBILLY’s cultists are mute, merciless, unknowable and, with their masks and heightened design, utterly unforgettable. And the things they do to our poor wrestlers are … unspeakable. And the main way we build buzz for a must-see horror classic-in-the-making.
